What it actually fixes
Clutter is a boundaries problem. A large mat draws a line around the working zone, and anything outside it gets put away. It is the simplest tidiness habit you can buy.
Materials
The felt half absorbs keyboard chatter and is kind to wrists; the PU half wipes clean when a mug drips. Both track well for optical mice, so you can drop the separate mouse pad.
