Desk Haven is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
What it costs you
Nothing. The commission comes out of the retailer's margin. You pay exactly the same price whether you use our link or type the product name into Amazon yourself.
How it affects our recommendations
It does not. Commission rates differ by category, so the highest-paying product is rarely the one we rank first — and several of our recommendations are budget picks that earn us very little. If a popular product is bad, we say so and link to it anyway so you can read the reviews yourself.
How we test
We buy our own review units wherever budget allows. When a manufacturer loans us hardware we say so in the review, and we return or buy the unit afterwards. Nobody gets to read a review before it is published.
