Why a kit beats buying pieces
Most desks fail on cables, not furniture. A kit gives you the four things you actually need in one order: sleeving to bundle the run from wall to desk, a tray to lift power bricks off the floor, adhesive clips to route chargers to the desk edge, and straps to keep slack tidy.
Setting it up
Start with the tray. Screw or clamp it under the rear of the desk and drop the power strip inside — that alone hides most of the mess. Then sleeve the bundle that drops to the wall, and use the clips along the desk edge for the two or three cables you unplug often.
On a sit-stand desk
Leave roughly 8–10 inches of slack in every cable that travels with the top and strap it into a service loop. Test the full height range before you cut zip ties.
Verdict
Under $25, ten minutes of work, and the desk photographs like a showroom. If you own a standing desk, treat it as required rather than optional.
