DUMOS 40" Electric Standing Desk review

The cheapest sit-stand desk worth buying

4.1Best for: Sit-stand on a budget or in a small room
DUMOS 40" Electric Standing Desk in a home office setup

A single-motor 40-inch electric desk for people who want to stand for part of the day without spending FlexiSpot money. Slower and lighter-duty than a dual-motor base, but the height range is the same.

What we liked

  • Real electric height adjustment under $200
  • 28"–47" range suits most heights
  • Memory presets on the touch panel
  • Fits alcoves and spare rooms

What we didn't

  • Single motor is slow and noisier
  • Lower load rating than dual-motor desks
  • Some sway at full standing height

Who it is for

Small rooms and small budgets. If a 60-inch dual-motor desk will not fit — physically or financially — a compact single-motor desk still gets you out of your chair.

What we like

The 28 to 47 inch range covers almost everyone sitting and standing, and the touch panel with memory presets means you actually use it. At 40 inches wide it slots into a spare-room alcove.

Where it falls short

One motor means slower travel and a lower load rating, so a heavy dual-monitor arm plus a desktop tower is pushing it. There is more side-to-side sway at full height than on a dual-motor frame.
